Sárvár
Sárvár can be easily accessed both from Hungary and from the neighboring countries. A settlement was here already in the prehistoric times, which is proven by pottery parts, bronze tools and other underground finds. Nowadays it is one of the most dynamically developing small towns in Western Transdanubia. Its most important tourist attraction is the world-famous spa and wellness bath, as well as the medieval castle with its surroundings, the historic buildings of the old town and the unique flora and fauna of the Arboretum. The “rowing lake” also has to be mentioned, which is formed by a system of interknitting lakes, the surface of which is nine hectares.

Nádasdy-castle
The castle was first mentioned in written documents in 1327, when the castle was the royal estate of Róbert Károly; than it was taken away by the Németújvári family and later returned to the king by Köcski Sándor. Its ownership was changed several times during the course of the history, and in 1424 it came into the property of the Kanizsai family, when the husband of Kanizsai Orsolya, Nádasdy Tamás received it. By the end of the 15th century the Kanizsai family built a closed courtyard, extended it with palace wings and military works.

Close to the thermal bath you can find a lake system, that consists of four lakes, with five bridges and five lakes. The total area is 9 hectares. Water birds are brooding on the islands. Fishing, boating, in winter skating possibilities are waiting for the Sárvár people and our guests.

The renowned Spa and Wellness Center, which has a history more than a decade, is providing wide range of medical, health and recreational services to its visitors.
Majority of the events is hold on the internal courtyard of the Nádasdy-castle. Here you can visit the spectacular Nádasdy historical festival in July, as well as the international folklore festival in August, that has a history more than a decade. The most enjoyable part of the last one is the gala on August 20, when the dancers are creating a carnival atmosphere on the streets of the town. International motorcycle meetings, brass band festivals, international hussar meetings, as well as poetry and lay meetings, celebrating the genius of Tinódi Sebestyén are regularly held there. At the end of the season, there is one more event to mention, the Simon-Júdás fair.
